The TechtrailBlazers program, an integral part of the GJ Chairman Scholarship Fund’s CSR initiatives, was successfully held at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, from July 12 to July 27, 2023. This ambitious program aimed to bridge the digital skills gap by offering a series of intensive workshops that focused on key IT tools and technologies critical for the modern workforce.
Spanning a total of four days per session, the workshops covered highly sought-after skills in Photoshop, Web Designing, WordPress, and Digital Marketing. Designed to provide students with hands-on, practical learning, these workshops allowed participants to not only gain theoretical knowledge but also apply their learnings through real-world applications. This immersive learning approach helped students build confidence in their abilities to create digital content, design websites, and understand the basics of online marketing, thereby preparing them for future careers in technology.
Student participation was vibrant, with attendees demonstrating enthusiasm and curiosity. They engaged closely with highly experienced professors from GJIMT, benefiting from their industry insights and guidance. The practical lab sessions were particularly well-received, providing a platform where students could ask questions, explore innovative solutions, and experiment with IT tools. The interactive nature of the program made it easier for students to grasp complex concepts and translate them into practical skills, further fueling their interest in digital technologies.
The positive feedback from students highlighted the effectiveness of the teaching approach and the overall structure of the program. Students appreciated the quality of instruction, and many noted that the approachable nature of the faculty made learning both enjoyable and productive. Several participants praised the relevance of the skills they acquired, noting how the workshops equipped them to tackle future challenges in the tech-driven world.
The program culminated in a certificate distribution ceremony, where participants were recognized for their dedication and achievements. Chairman Mr. J.S. Bedi and Director Dr. Aneet Bedi presided over the event, congratulating the students and encouraging them to continue developing their skills. The certificates were not just a token of participation but a symbol of the students’ readiness to take on the evolving demands of the digital age.
