As part of its ongoing gender sensitization efforts, our institution recently hosted an impactful POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) session. Led by Dr. Sneha Sharma and organized by the NSS Club, the session was a crucial step towards fostering a safer and more respectful campus environment.
The primary focus of the session was to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a safe workplace and to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act. Participants gained valuable insights into the key provisions of the Act, which are designed to protect individuals and ensure a respectful work and study environment.
Dr. Sharma’s engaging and informative presentation emphasized the need for a culture of equality and respect among both students and staff. The interactive format of the session encouraged open discussions, allowing participants to explore their rights and responsibilities in depth.
Through this session, attendees were empowered with the knowledge necessary to navigate and contribute to a more inclusive and secure campus. The successful coordination of the event by the NSS Team was instrumental in achieving these goals, highlighting their dedication to creating a positive and respectful campus community.
