During these sessions, students explored subjects such as market research, inventory management, supply chain management, recruitment, diversity, and disaster management through interactive, real-world scenarios.
Using Google Earth, students gained a visual and immersive understanding of geographic factors that impact business operations and HRM strategies. This innovative approach allowed participants to engage in a deeper exploration of global business environments, providing them with practical insights into how geography influences various aspects of management and decision-making.
On May 11, 2023, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, in collaboration with FUEL India, a CSR Initiative under HDFC Bank, celebrated the successful completion of a one-year training program focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Python. This program was part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between GJIMT and FUEL India.
Students from BCA IV and MCA II semesters participated in this comprehensive training, gaining valuable skills in AI programming, Python development, and advanced data analysis. The program equipped students with cutting-edge knowledge and practical applications of AI, preparing them for the evolving demands of the tech industry. On May 15, 2023, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali hosted an engaging Full Stack Development Workshop, where students were introduced to the essential tools and techniques used in full stack development. The seminar was led by an industry expert, who guided students through key concepts, including front-end and back-end development, providing them with practical insights into the software development lifecycle.
After the seminar, students were awarded certifications in recognition of their active participation and learning. This Tricity-oriented event saw participation from students across prestigious institutions such as Punjab University, Chitkara University, and Chandigarh University (CU). Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, organized an immersive simulation game workshop titled “Customer is King,” providing students with a dynamic experience in strategic decision-making within the business world. Participants were engaged in the complexities of running a profitable equity brokerage house, making up to 13 critical decisions that tested their understanding of various business operations.
Through this virtual simulation, students explored areas such as pricing strategies, customer segmentation, relationship management, and market research. This hands-on workshop allowed attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of marketing and business strategy, equipping them with the decision-making skills essential for navigating real-world business environments.
