Reviewer Guidelines
1. Review Process Overview
- Thank you for agreeing to review for The Gyan Management Journal. We value your expertise and appreciate your contribution to maintaining the quality and integrity of our journal. Below are the key guidelines to help you in the review process.
- All manuscripts submitted to The Gyan Management Journal are subject to a double-blind peer review process, meaning both the reviewer and author identities are kept confidential throughout the review.
- Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and relevance to the topic of the manuscript.
- The final decision regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript is made by the Editorial Board based on reviewer feedback.
2. What to Evaluate
As a reviewer, you are expected to assess the following aspects of the manuscript:
- Originality and Relevance: Does the manuscript contribute new insights or knowledge to the field of management? Is it relevant to the journal’s scope?
- Clarity and Structure: Is the manuscript well-organized and clearly written? Are the objectives, methodology, and conclusions clearly stated?
- Methodology: Is the research design appropriate? Are the methods used to gather and analyze data sound?
- Literature Review: Is the literature review comprehensive and up-to-date? Does it provide a clear foundation for the study?
- Results and Discussion: Are the results presented clearly? Is the discussion aligned with the findings? Does the manuscript provide a meaningful contribution to existing research?
- Ethical Considerations: Does the manuscript adhere to ethical research standards, including proper citation practices and avoiding plagiarism?
3. Reviewer Responsibilities
- Confidentiality: All information regarding the manuscript, including the content and review process, should remain confidential. Do not share the manuscript with anyone outside of the review process.
- Constructive Feedback: Provide detailed, constructive comments to help the author improve their work. If you recommend revisions, be specific about what changes are needed and why.
- Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete their reviews within 2–3 weeks. If you are unable to review a manuscript within the assigned time frame, please notify the editorial team as soon as possible.
4. Evaluation Criteria
- Accept: The manuscript is of high quality and does not require major revisions.
- Minor Revisions: The manuscript is strong but requires some revisions for clarity, accuracy, or completeness.
- Major Revisions: The manuscript has potential but requires significant changes before it can be considered for publication.
- Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards in terms of originality, methodology, or relevance.
5. Conflicts of Interest
- If you have any conflicts of interest with the authors or the manuscript, please disclose them immediately. A conflict of interest may involve a personal, professional, or financial relationship with the authors or their work. If a conflict is identified, you may need to step down from reviewing that manuscript.
6. Submission of Review
- Once your review is completed, please submit it through the journal’s online submission system or email it directly to the editorial team. Make sure to include your comments for the author (if any) and your overall recommendation.
7. Acknowledgment and Rewards
- We highly value the time and effort reviewers invest in providing valuable feedback. Reviewers will be acknowledged in the journal’s annual publication. Additionally, reviewers who consistently contribute to the journal may be considered for inclusion on the Editorial Board.
