Internal Complaints Committee
Fostering a Safe and Respectful Environment at GJIMT
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), is established in alignment with the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013, also referred to as the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act (POSCH).
Aims and Objectives
- 1. Prevention Mechanisms: To implement robust systems that deter incidents of sexual harassment and ensure efficient resolution of cases.
- 2. Commitment to Gender Equality: To promote an environment free from gender-based discrimination and harassment, fostering mutual respect and inclusivity.
- 3. Safe Campus Environment: To establish a secure atmosphere, both physical and social, that deters harassment and nurtures a culture of respect.
- 4. Awareness and Education: To conduct regular workshops and campaigns that empower the GJIMT community with knowledge about their rights and the mechanisms to address grievances.
- 5. Compliance and Accountability: To ensure strict adherence to the POSCH guidelines, maintain transparency, and submit annual reports summarizing complaints and actions
Through its proactive measures, the ICC aims to create a safe, equitable, and harassment-free environment at GJIMT. By addressing grievances promptly and promoting awareness of the POSCH Act, the committee ensures that all stakeholders can thrive in a secure and supportive campus atmosphere.
