GJIMT Successfully Concludes E-Waste Collection Drive: Turning Trash into Treasure

From December 16, 2023, to January 6, 2024, the GJIMT Campus became the hub of environmental action with its impactful E-Waste Collection Drive, themed “Turning Today’s Trash into Tomorrow’s Treasures.” The month-long initiative aimed to raise awareness about the critical need for recycling electronic waste and promoting sustainable practices within the campus community.

The drive inspired active participation from students, staff, and faculty, who collectively contributed old and unused electronic items for proper recycling. This collaborative effort not only emphasized the importance of responsible disposal but also highlighted the environmental hazards posed by unchecked e-waste.

A significant outcome of the drive was the education of participants about the long-term benefits of reducing, reusing, and recycling e-waste.
