June 3, 2003
The students of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, actively participated in a Shramdan activity on June 3, 2003, at Sukhna Lake. Over 60 students from MBA, MCA, and BCA programs, along with 12 faculty members, joined hands under the leadership of Mr. J.S. Bedi, Chairman of GJIMT, to contribute towards preserving the iconic Sukhna Lake.

The activity commenced at 6:00 a.m. and continued until 7:30 a.m., with participants working diligently to lift and clear slit from the regulator end of the lake. This initiative underscored GJIMT’s commitment to social welfare and environmental conservation.

Shramdan exemplified the institute’s dedication to community service and complemented its ongoing welfare programs such as Blood Donation Camps and Free Eye Check-Up Camps. The event highlighted the importance of giving back to society and fostering a sense of responsibility among students.
