Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) hosted a six-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Academic Excellence Using Best Pedagogical Practices” from July 11 to July 16, 2011. The program was sponsored by Punjab Technical University (PTU).
The FDP was held under the mentorship of Sh. J.S. Bedi, Chairman, Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions. The program was coordinated by Dr. Vimal K. Agarwal, with guidance from Dr. Aneet, Program Advisor. The event aimed to enhance teaching methodologies and promote academic excellence by utilizing innovative pedagogical practices.
The inaugural session featured a welcome address by Dr. Vidhu Mohan, setting the stage for six days of insightful learning. The FDP saw the participation of 15 resource persons from academia and industry, who conducted comprehensive sessions tailored to equip participants with the latest techniques in pedagogy and their practical applications.
The program attracted 50 attendees from institutions across the region. The participants demonstrated their commitment to adopting best practices in education. The valedictory session was marked by an engaging address by Dr. K.M. Rastogi, who applauded the efforts of GJIMT in fostering educational innovation and excellence.
In his concluding remarks, Sh. J.S. Bedi emphasized the importance of continuous professional development for educators and reiterated GJIMT’s mission to remain at the forefront of academic excellence.
