The Entrepreneurship Club of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), in collaboration with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), organized an online seminar titled “Small Steps Lead to Big Dreams.” The session aimed to inspire students to explore entrepreneurial ventures, emphasizing perseverance, consistent progress, and confidence in achieving their dreams.
The seminar featured Ms. Upneet Bhatia, Managing Director of The Cakewalkerz and an esteemed alumna of GJIMT, who shared her entrepreneurial journey and valuable insights. Held virtually, the session commenced with a warm welcome and introduction by the coordinator, Mr. Nitish Kumar, and saw enthusiastic participation from 130 students across various programs, including MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, and BCom.
During the hour-long session, Ms. Bhatia recounted her journey from being a GJIMT student to establishing her successful bakery business. She highlighted the importance of having a clear vision, starting small, and taking consistent steps toward achieving big goals. Addressing the common challenges faced by aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly women, she emphasized resilience and learning from failures as key elements of success.
The interactive Q&A session was a highlight of the event, where students posed insightful questions about managing finances, handling competition, and starting a business. Ms. Bhatia provided practical advice and encouragement, inspiring attendees to overcome their fears and pursue their dreams with confidence.
The seminar placed special emphasis on empowering women entrepreneurs, with Ms. Bhatia urging female students to break barriers and boldly pursue their aspirations.
