The Annual African Students Meet 2025 at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Phase 2, Mohali, has been making waves across news platforms! Widely covered by media, the event has been recognized for its role in promoting cultural exchange, international unity, and academic collaboration, further solidifying GJIMT’s reputation as a hub of global inclusivity.
Bringing together over 200 African students from across North India, the grand event was graced by Chief Guest Mrs. Jean Asantewaah Kusi-Boadum, 1st Secretary (Consular & Welfare), Ghana High Commission, New Delhi, and Guest of Honour Ms. Rukalya Mustapha Aliyu, Second Secretary (E&M), Nigeria High Commission.
The day featured vibrant cultural performances, including singing, dance, a fashion show, poetry, and extempore competitions, alongside sports activities that fostered teamwork and camaraderie. A captivating African folk music performance mesmerized the audience before the award ceremony and the Indian National Anthem marked the event’s conclusion.
Expressing gratitude in his vote of thanks, Sh. J. S. Bedi, Chairman, Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions, highlighted the event’s significance in strengthening India-Africa educational and cultural ties. He reaffirmed GJIMT’s commitment to fostering global unity through education and collaboration.
