The International Students Club at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) recently organized an exciting and fun-filled excursion to the iconic PCA Cricket Stadium, commonly known as the Mohali Stadium. As part of the club’s initiative to offer international students enriching cultural experiences, this trip provided an opportunity for students to explore one of India’s premier sports venues.
The PCA Cricket Stadium, home to the Punjab cricket team, is a renowned landmark in Mohali. Students were captivated by the impressive scale of the stadium, which took ₹25 crore and three years to construct. They had the chance to learn about its rich history, its significance in Indian cricket, and the thrilling matches it has hosted over the years.
This excursion, organized under the International Students Club’s initiative, allowed students to bond over a shared love of sports while also immersing themselves in the vibrant sporting culture of India. The trip fostered a sense of camaraderie among the students and offered a memorable experience that extended beyond the classroom, contributing to their holistic development during their time at GJIMT.
