15th International Conference organized at GJIMT, Mohali

Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali organized its 15th International Conference- GJ IntConMITE – 2021 on the theme – ‘Survive, Revive, Thrive – Key to Resilient organizations’. The chief guest and keynote speaker of the conference was Mr. Jeremy Sabell, President, Stenberg College, Surrey, Canada. In his keynote address, Mr. Sabell emphasized that the title of the conference perfectly describes the three phases through which an organization has been going through the epoch of COVID-19. He was of the view that to be resilient in challenging times, the organizations need to follow the strategies of Innovation, Adaptation, Evolution, Anticipation & Preparation. He talked about how people and corporate culture combine to make resilient organizations.
Speaking in the inaugural session, Sh. J.S. Bedi, Chairman-GJIMT, welcomed the chief guest and delegates from various parts of country and globe. In his address, he said that it is need of the hour to discuss the effects and consequences of the pandemic and such events provide us with an opportunity to understand the challenges and to explore the possible solutions. Speaking on the theme, Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director, GJIMT, said that to sail through the pandemic situation, the key errands for a business organization are resetting the strategies and reconsidering the business and technology space.
Around 200 participants and delegates joined this International conference from various parts of the country as well as globe including participants from countries like Nepal, Ghana, Georgia, Canada and different states of India. More than 30 researchers from various domains of academia and industry presented their valuable views through research papers on various topics ranging from National Economy, Financial Markets, Distribution & Marketing; IT & IT enabled Services, Human Resources to International Business Operations. The views presented in the technical sessions gave insights into the paradigm shift from pre-COVID era to the current scenario which has impacted the business organizations and economy as a whole in many ways. The discussions proved fruitful in enlightening the minds and provoking the intellect for exploring innovative ideas that can help the organizations to survive, revive and thrive towards growth and development.
In the concluding session, Prof. Gurdeepak Singh, Director – International Studies, GJIMT, presented a formal vote of thanks to all the eminent speakers, delegates and participants who contributed their views in an insightful discussion on the theme. He also congratulated the entire organizing team and appreciated their untiring efforts for the success of the event.
