Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Mohali in collaboration with District Health Department, Mohali organized a free COVID-19 Vaccination Drive at its campus for the students, staff and the general public. The vaccination drive, which was a CSR initiative taken by the institute, started at 9 in the morning and went on till 4 in the evening during which 183 people got themselves jabbed against the coronavirus. On this occasion, the Chairman of the institute, Mr. J. S. Bedi said that working towards the health and safety of the students and staff is their utmost priority during the current pandemic situation and this drive is one such step in this direction. Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director, GJIMT in her message conveyed that the institute has always withstood the challenges through commitment and dedication towards its vision and goal. She said that apart from taking safety measures for its staff and students, the aim of the drive is to create awareness and encourage more and more people to become part of this fight against COVID-19. Mr. Aman Yadav, a local resident of Mohali who had come for vaccination, said that the institute has taken a noble initiative for the people of the vicinity. Ms. Navneet Kaur, who was a part of the medical team appreciated the efforts put in by the institute and the arrangements done by the organizing team for the vaccination camp. On the culmination of the camp, Dr. Aneet Bedi thanked the Health Department officials, District Administration and medical team who coordinated in an efficient manner to make this drive a successful one.
