Celebration of Women’s Day in Sodashi 3.0 at GJIMT

As part of women’s day celebrations, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology (GJIMT) Mohali, successfully hosted Sodashi 3.0, the third edition of its annual event dedicated to honoring exceptional women. Inspired by the Sanskrit word Sodashi, meaning “perfection and completeness,” the event recognized the remarkable contributions of over 50 women across diverse fields.

The celebration began with a Welcome Address by Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director GJIMT, who emphasized the importance of recognizing women’s achievements and fostering an environment of empowerment. This was followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, RJ Meenakshi, a distinguished radio personality known for her impactful voice and influence.
The Lamp Lighting Ceremony symbolized the illumination of knowledge and progress, and set a reflective tone for the event. A special video presentation took the audience through GJIMT’s journey by highlighting its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.

Major highlight of the day was the Awards & Honors Ceremony, where over 50 outstanding women achievers were recognized for their contributions to various sectors. The awards were presented by the Chief Guest, RJ Meenakshi, celebrating excellence in leadership, entrepreneurship, and social impact.

This was followed by her inspiring speech where she spoke passionately about self-confidence, resilience, and the power of determination.

Adding an interactive element to the event, a balloon activity on the theme “Balanced & Bold” engaged the audience in a symbolic representation of resilience and harmony, The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Ranjeet Bedi, Director Principal, Gian Jyoti Global School. She acknowledged the efforts of the organizing team, guests, and awardees. The formal proceedings ended with the National Anthem, after which guests engaged in a High Tea & Networking Session.
