Convocation Ceremony and Alumni Meet held at GJIMT, Mohali

Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Phase-2, Mohali, held its maiden Convocation on 13th December 2001. A total of 101 students were awarded the MBA degree during the ceremony, with degrees conferred to the students of the 1998-2000 and 1999-2001 batches by the Chief Guest, Sh. Jagdish Singh Garcha, Minister for Technical Education & Industrial Training, Govt. of Punjab.

During the event, Ms. Soosan Chhabra and Ms. Aneet were honored with the “Robes of Honour” for securing the top positions in the institute for the 1998-2000 and 1999-2001 sessions, respectively. The convocation was followed by the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a new block by the Chief Guest, marking the institute’s expansion plans, including the introduction of MCA and other programs in the near future.

An alumni meet was also organized, where the graduates shared insights and practical suggestions for the institute’s improvement based on their professional experiences. The event concluded with a vibrant cultural program performed by the current students, adding a festive touch to the memorable occasion.
