The Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) successfully organized a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Fundamentals of Ph.D. Thesis – Conceptualization & Research Methodology” from July 7 to July 11, 2014. The program was sponsored by Punjab Technical University (PTU) and saw the participation of 43 faculty members and researchers from various institutions across the region.
The FDP was held under the mentorship of Sh. J.S. Bedi, Chairman of Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions, and coordinated by Dr. Aneet, Dean GJIMT, who ensured the program’s smooth execution. The sessions aimed at enhancing the participants’ understanding of the conceptualization process and equipping them with robust research methodologies essential for Ph.D. thesis development.
The program was inaugurated with a welcome address by Dr. Manu Sharma, setting the tone for an enriching learning experience. Over the course of five days, 10 distinguished resource persons from academia conducted four intensive sessions each day, providing in-depth insights and practical knowledge on thesis conceptualization, research design, and data analysis.
The valedictory session was graced by Dr. M.P. Poonia, who lauded the participants for their enthusiasm and stressed the importance of meticulous research in advancing academic and professional fields.
Participants rated the program highly for its structured approach, relevance, and interactive nature, which fostered an engaging learning environment.
Dr. Aneet expressed her gratitude to all the participants and resource persons. She emphasized GJIMT’s commitment to fostering academic growth through such initiatives.
