March 30 2022
Health is a top priority for everyone, and with that in mind, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, organized a Free Medical Camp on March 30 2022. The event, held at the college premises, was aimed at promoting health and wellness among students, faculty, and staff. The overwhelming participation from all members of the GJIMT community highlighted the importance of such initiatives in maintaining and improving overall well-being.
During the camp, medical professionals from Fortis Hospital provided various essential health services, including eye check-ups, blood tests, blood pressure and weight measurements, and free consultations with expert physicians. The camp was a valuable opportunity for individuals to monitor their health and receive professional medical advice, all in the convenience of their campus.
Adding to this important initiative, Dr. Sheibba Mittal, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Fortis Hospital, led a special session focused on raising awareness about menstrual health and well-being. Dr. Mittal offered consultations to young women, providing expert guidance on managing menstrual health and promoting healthy practices. The session aimed to empower young women with the knowledge needed to take control of their health, fostering a supportive environment for open discussions around women’s health issues.
The Free Medical Camp was a significant part of GJIMT’s ongoing commitment to community welfare and health awareness. By partnering with Fortis Hospital, the institute demonstrated its dedication to ensuring the well-being of its students, faculty, and staff, while also educating and raising awareness about essential health issues.
This initiative by the NSS Team of GJIMT, along with the expert support from Fortis Hospital, is a reminder of the importance of prioritizing health and providing accessible medical care to the community.
