Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), in collaboration with the NSS and ICC, successfully organized a Free Medical Check-Up for Girls, emphasizing health awareness and well-being among its female students. The initiative, led by coordinator Mr. Jagvinder Thakur, saw enthusiastic participation from 180 students across various programs, including MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, and BCom (Hons).
The check-up was conducted by Dr. Sheibba Mittal, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from Fortis Hospital, who provided expert guidance on menstrual health, hygiene practices, and overall wellness. The event fostered a safe environment where students could engage in one-on-one consultations, ask personal health questions, and receive tailored advice.
The session highlighted the importance of regular medical check-ups, healthy practices, and open discussions about sensitive health topics. Participants gained valuable insights, broke taboos surrounding menstrual health, and felt empowered to make informed decisions about their well-being.
This impactful initiative reaffirmed GJIMT’s commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for its students, contributing significantly to their overall development and confidence. Events like these are a testament to the institution’s dedication to promoting holistic health and empowerment among young women.
