Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology (GJ-IMT), Mohali, held a vibrant Two-Day Orientation Programme on 1st and 2nd August 2003 for the incoming MBA and MCA students. The event marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey, bringing together enthusiastic students, faculty members, and distinguished guests.
The inaugural ceremony on 1st August 2003 was graced by Sh. Y.S. Rajan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, who ceremonially lit the lamp and declared the programme open. His inspiring words emphasized the importance of entrepreneurial spirit and the need to embrace technological advancements for future opportunities.
Sh. Ram P. Bajpai, Director, CSIO, Chandigarh, delivered an insightful lecture on Bio-Molecular Electronics and Nano Technology, stressing the significance of innovation and entrepreneurship for professional success.
On the second day, Sh. Chandra Mohan, Former MD, Punjab Tractors Ltd., motivated the students by highlighting the potential of India’s young talent and encouraging them to explore diverse career paths, including NGOs.
The programme also featured engaging sessions by eminent personalities like Sh. Akhilesh Rai and Prof. B.S. Sohi, who provided valuable insights into industry expectations and personal development. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Sh. J.S. Bedi, Chairman, GJ-IMT, who commended the students and VIP guests for their participation and contributions.
