An inter-college case study competition, Inquest-2002, was successfully organized at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Phase-2, Mohali, on 18th March 2002. The event witnessed participation from nine esteemed teams, who were tasked with presenting case studies on one of the three selected subjects: Product launch by a company, a comparison between HMT and Titan watches, and future proposals for WIPRO.
The teams hailed from top institutions including University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Punjabi University; Maharaja Agarsen Institute of Management & Technology, Jagadri (Kurukshetra University); CMTR, Mohali (Punjab Technical University); Integrated Academy of Management & Technology, Ghaziabad; Punjab College of Technical Education, Ludhiana; International Institute of Management, Jalandhar; Malout Institute of Management & I.T., Malout; Apeejay Institute of Management, Jalandhar; and Mata Gujri Institute of Management, Fatehgarh Sahib.
The event was presided over by renowned management consultant Dr. S.P.S Pruthi, with an esteemed panel of judges including Dr. Dinesh Gupta, Dr. A.K Vashisht, and Prof. K.K Uppal from University Business School, Panjab University. The Director of GJIMT, Prof. (Dr.) B.B Tandon, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the essential qualities that define a successful manager.
The competition concluded with Punjab College of Technical Education, Ludhiana, emerging as the winner, while the second prize was awarded to the Centre for Management Training & Research (CMTR), SAS Nagar, Mohali. The event showcased the analytical skills and business acumen of the participants, making it a memorable and educational experience for all.
