A One Week Faculty Development Programme on “Outcome-Based Education 1.O” was successfully conducted from May 20 to 24, 2024, organized by Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali.
The programme aimed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to design and implement outcome-based education (OBE) systems. OBE, a student-centered learning model, focuses on measuring student performance through the demonstration of specific learning outcomes. Over five days, participants explored core OBE principles, effective assessment strategies, and how to integrate OBE frameworks into curriculum planning.
A One Week Faculty Development Programme on “Indian Knowledge Systems in Higher Education: Curriculum and Research Perspectives” was successfully conducted from January 17 – 21, 2022, organized by Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali.
The programme aimed to provide participants with a deep understanding of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) and their integration into higher education curricula and research. Over five days, participants explored the role of IKS in modern education, strategies for incorporating traditional knowledge into contemporary studies, and the relevance of IKS in fostering innovative research practices.
One Week Faculty Development Programme on “Quality Assurance in Higher Education” was held from November 15 – 19, 2021, organized by Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali.
The programme focused on enhancing the quality standards in higher education institutions. Through sessions on accreditation processes, quality frameworks, and best practices in teaching and administration, participants were equipped with tools to improve institutional quality, ensuring the delivery of high-caliber education and fostering continuous improvement.
A One Week Faculty Development Programme on “Blended Learning and ICT in Teaching” was successfully conducted from August 24 – 28, 2020, organized by Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali.
The programme focused on integrating blended learning models and ICT tools in modern teaching practices. Over the course of five days, participants explored the effective use of digital technologies in education, learning management systems, and strategies to combine traditional and online teaching methods, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.
A One Week Faculty Development Programme on “Data Analysis using SPSS” was successfully conducted from November 18 – 22, 2019, organized by Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali.
The programme provided participants with hands-on training in SPSS, focusing on essential data analysis techniques. During the five-day workshop, participants learned to apply statistical methods such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and descriptive statistics, empowering them to conduct effective research and data-driven decision-making in academic and professional settings.
