A workshop on Mental Health & Stress was held on 26th August 2023 at the Syndicate Room of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), providing students with a platform to discuss and understand the challenges related to mental health, anxiety, and stress. The workshop aimed to create awareness about the importance of mental well-being and to equip students with practical tools to manage stress and anxiety effectively.
During the session, students were encouraged to openly express their thoughts and experiences by writing about their personal struggles with stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. This reflective activity allowed students to articulate their feelings, fostering a sense of community and shared understanding. The workshop also included expert talks and interactive discussions on coping mechanisms, mindfulness techniques, and healthy lifestyle practices that can help alleviate mental stress. The event emphasized the importance of seeking support, practicing self-care, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health issues. It was a constructive and compassionate space for students to learn how to manage the pressures of academic and personal life, promoting a culture of mental well-being within the campus.
