MOSAIC 2000: Fostering Industry-Institute Collaboration at GJIMT

In February 2000, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology (GJIMT), Phase-2, Mohali, proudly hosted “MOSAIC 2000,” a dynamic management meet themed around the industry-institute interface. The event, aptly named “MOSAIC,” stood for “Meeting of Students and Academicians in Cadence,” and was designed to create a collaborative platform for students, academicians, and industry professionals to exchange ideas.

MOSAIC 2000 featured ten competitive management activities, including Case Study Analysis, Paper Presentations, Debates, Quiz, Rangoli, and Collage-making. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from twelve prestigious management institutes across Punjab and North India, making it a significant gathering of aspiring managers and industry experts. Professionals from various industries were invited to share their insights on fostering cooperation between industrial organizations and management schools, enriching the dialogue and providing valuable perspectives.

The meet was a resounding success, reinforcing GJIMT’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry, and setting the stage for future collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing management education and industry readiness.
