Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, provided an enriching real-time sales experience for its BBA 5th-semester students. The innovative exercise aimed to develop entrepreneurial skills and practical business acumen by challenging students to conceptualize and sell products or services to earn Rs. 1,000 in three hours.
The class was divided into four groups, and each group employed different strategies to achieve their targets. Students demonstrated creativity by selling old books, offering intermediary services, and partnering with restaurants. The activity encouraged teamwork, resourcefulness, and determination. Remarkably, one group exceeded expectations by earning more than Rs. 1,000.
The exercise received appreciation from the institute’s leadership, who praised the students for their effort and ingenuity. This hands-on experience not only taught students the value of money and responsibility but also enhanced their confidence and understanding of real-world business challenges.
