Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) hosted the Orientation Ceremony for the inauguration of its new Rotaract Club on 16th September 2023 in the college auditorium. The event was an inspiring initiative to introduce the objectives, mission, and opportunities of the Rotaract Club, aimed at fostering leadership and community service among students.
The ceremony commenced with the formal inauguration, which included the lighting of the lamp by esteemed guests, including college faculty, Rotary Club representatives, and student leaders. A warm welcome address set the stage for the event, reflecting GJIMT’s ethos of cultivating values and leadership.
Mr. Mohit Singla, Rotary Club Governor, delivered an inspiring keynote speech, emphasizing the importance of community service, leadership, and fellowship—the cornerstones of Rotary and Rotaract. He lauded GJIMT’s dedication to nurturing young leaders and encouraged students to actively participate in impactful service projects. Additionally, Mr. Chinmay Abbhi, District Rotary Club Secretary, shared valuable insights into the global influence and initiatives of Rotary International, motivating students to explore Rotaract as a platform for growth and contribution.
To engage students further, an interactive session was conducted, addressing queries related to Rotaract membership and activities. This allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the club’s operations and opportunities.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director of GJIMT, expressed her gratitude to the distinguished guests and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to empowering students with the values of service and leadership through initiatives like the Rotaract Club.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of guests, faculty, and students, followed by the playing of the national anthem, a tradition that reflects GJIMT’s culture.
The inauguration of the Rotaract Club at GJIMT marks the beginning of a promising journey for students to engage in meaningful community service, hone their leadership skills, and make a lasting positive impact on society.
