Sodashi 2023: GJIMT Honors Women in Education on International Women’s Day

Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) celebrated International Women’s Day 2023 by hosting an inspiring event named “Sodashi,” an appreciation award ceremony that honored women for their exceptional contributions to education and societal development. The term “Sodashi” signifies wholeness, purity, and radiance, and the event truly embodied these values.

A gathering of over 100 principals, teachers, and counselors from various schools in the Tricity (Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula), along with other regions of Punjab, attended the event. The Chief Guest, SP (D) Digvijay Kapil of Fatehgarh Sahib, emphasized the invaluable role of women in society and praised their leadership in the education sector. He highlighted the significance of celebrating women’s achievements and fostering gender equality.

The event also featured cultural performances by GJIMT students, which received enthusiastic applause from the audience. The ceremony concluded with an address by Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director of GJIMT, who expressed her deep appreciation for the guests and emphasized the role of such celebrations in promoting respect and recognition for women in all walks of life.
