Startup India Punjab Yatra Boot Camp at GJIMT

Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology hosted the “Boot Camp” for Startup India Punjab Yatra at its campus in Phase-2, Mohali. Over 350 students from different college of District Mohali presented their innovative ideas. Mr. H.S.Cheema, Managing Director, Cheema Boilers Limited shared his success mantras with the students. Mr. J.S.Bedi, Chairman, Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions presided over the event. Mr. H.S.Pannu, General Manager, District Industries Centres, Punjab and Mr. K.S. Bhatia, Founder & CEO, Pumpkart.Com, Mr. Ekant Agarwal, Executive Director of SACC, Mr. Balbir Singh, Advisor, Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Mr. Salil Kaplash, Startup Coordinator, Startup Punjab, Mr. Ashish Puri from Startup Cell Punjab and Mr. Amit Sharma were also present on the occasion.

Mr. J.S.Bedi, Chairman, Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions while speaking on the occasion said that in the Boot Camp govt. made the students aware about the government’s initiative to promote Startups, ideation workshop, idea pitching session and train up the aspirant enterpreneurs. During the Boot camp a workshop was also organised for faculty members of different colleges/universities in which they were told about the Startup India, Startup Punjab and entrepreneurship.

The good ideas of entrepreneurs for start-up will be shortlisted and finally, these shortlisted ideas will pitch at the grand finale for incubation offers and incentives by resource partners.

Mr. Bedi also expressed his happiness and said the Punjab Government had entrusted us with the responsibility of arranging a boot camp during Startup India-Punjab Yatra, which is a matter of pride for us. He said that all necessary arrangements have been made for this event.
