Students and staff of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, joyously celebrated the vibrant festival of Teej on campus. Known as “Teeyan” in Punjab, this festival marks the onset of the monsoon season and is dedicated to Goddess Parvati and her union with Lord Shiva.
The campus came alive with songs, dances, prayer rituals, and cultural activities. Women adorned in colorful attire, with henna-decorated hands, participated in the celebrations, enjoying festive food and traditional swings under trees. The event highlighted the bounty of nature, rain, and greenery, creating an atmosphere of joy, unity, and cultural pride.
GJIMT’s initiative in celebrating Teej reflects its commitment to preserving Punjabi heritage and fostering a sense of community among students.
