Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali, in collaboration with the Mohali Industries Association TQM Foundation, organized the Juran TQM Workshop on August 1, 2003. The workshop aimed to emphasize the importance of Total Quality Management (TQM) in various spheres of life and business organizations.
Sh. K.B.S. Sidhu (IAS), Secretary of Technical Education, Govt. of Punjab, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the necessity of maintaining quality standards at all levels.
Sh. Y.S. Rajan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, PTU, discussed integrating TQM principles into management and engineering curriculums to produce quality professionals capable of delivering results on the shop floor.
Mr. Chandra Mohan, former MD of PTL and trustee of TQM Foundation, delivered a keynote address, showcasing TQM as a tool to enhance productivity and work efficiency. Dr. Suresh Lulla, an internationally renowned consultant from Qimpro Consultants, Mumbai, gave a detailed presentation on the implementation and benefits of TQM.
The workshop witnessed participation from numerous college principals affiliated with PTU, along with industrialists and dignitaries. Mr. J.S. Bedi, Chairman of GJIMT, expressed his commitment to organizing more quality-oriented seminars in the future.
