Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT) conducted a two-week program on “Statistical Methods in Management Research” held from June 22 to July 4, 2009, at the GJIMT campus. The program was mentored by Sh. J.S. Bedi, Chairman GJIMT, and aimed at equipping participants with advanced statistical tools and methodologies to enhance the quality of research in management studies. The inaugural session on June 22, 2009, was presided over by Prof. Dr. Vimal K. Aggarwal, Director of GJIMT, who emphasized the critical role of statistical techniques in data-driven decision-making and academic research. The program featured 19 distinguished resource persons from academia and industry, delivering four sessions daily on various topics, including advanced statistical tools, data analysis techniques, and their applications in management research.
The valedictory session on July 4, 2009, was presided over by Dr. Suresh Chadha from University Business School (UBS), Punjab University, Chandigarh. Dr. Chadha praised the program for its relevance and impact on enhancing research capabilities among participants. Participants provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, with 56% rating the overall learning experience as excellent and 44% as very good. Sh J S Bedi, Chairman Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions, extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the resource persons, participants, and organizers for their invaluable contributions in making this program a resounding success.
