Workshop on Drug Menace Awareness

Rotaract club of GianJyoti Institute of Management and Technology organized Workshop on Drug Menace Awareness at its campus in Phase-2, Mohali. Students of MBA, MCA, BBA and BCA attended the workshop. During the workshop slogan writing competition was also organized. Dr. SarindaSethi, Director, Addiction Awareness Project, Kalgidhar Trust Psychiatry & Addiction Center was the Key Note Speaker on the occasion.

Dr. Sethishared her experiences with students about the problems faced by the drug addicts and the consequent detrimental effect on health. She also shared some case stories from drug de-addiction center. She talked about the conscious efforts by each family, such as involving in positive conversations with children and engaging with their peer groups can play a crucial role towards curbing this menace.
